THE Highland Rugby Soccer Club (Highland RFC) has hailed its 1st Highland Beer, Gin and Whisky Pageant as a wonderful achievement.

The festival ran in conjunction with the Inverness City 7s, a two-day rugby 7s levels of competition with tournaments for elite men’s, social women’s and men’s junior boys, ladies and youthful adults.

The celebration – held as aspect of the club’s centenary yr celebrations – took place about the Platinum Jubilee Weekend, and introduced beer, gin and whisky from throughout the Scottish Highlands, to the grounds of Highland RFC.

All proceeds from the Highland Beer, Gin & Whisky Festival will gain Mikeysline, Alzheimer Scotland, My Name’5 Doddie and Highland RFC.

Talking about the occasion, Roy Dinnes, Vice President at Highland RFC, explained: “What a excellent weekend.

“To see 120 young children competing in the Mini’s and Micro’s party on Friday and some actually shut game titles in the Inverness Metropolis 7s on Saturday and Sunday, soon after 3 years in the arranging, we are unquestionably delighted.
